The 16th-ranked Columbus North girls golfers knocked off a Conference Indiana opponent for the second consecutive day Tuesday, downing Southport 174-216 at Harrison Lake.
Also for the second straight day at Harrison Lake, Sydney Anderson fired a 2-over-par 38 to win medalist honors. Aubrey Smith carded a 43, while Morgan Deis added a 44, Sam McQueen had a 45, and Holly Anderson and Lauren Backmeyer each shot 47 on Tuesday.
Monday, the Bull Dogs downed Perry Meridian 170-193. Holly Anderson was two strokes behind her sister with a 40. McQueen carded a 45, while Backmeyer added a 47, Deis shot 48 and Smith had a 52.
Olympians win triangular match
Columbus East won a triangular golf match Tuesday at Otter Creek. The Olympians shot 172 to 182 for Whiteland and 230 for Greenfield-Central 230.
Caroline Smith led East with a 40. Rebecca Smith and Abby Frazier each shot 43, while Maggie Frazier added a 46 and Nicole Bodi had a 48.
Eagles fall to Braves, Mustangs
Brown County improved by six strokes over its Monday score but finished third in a tri match at Salt Creek. Brownstown Central won with a 200 to 214 for Edgewood 214 and 252 for the Eagles.
Mary Kate McCann led the Eagles with a 56. Tori Akles carded a 62, while Sharon Walters added a 66 and Alex Kreie had a 68.
The Eagles were coming off a 189-264 loss to Whiteland on Monday at Hillview Country Club. McCann and Walters each shot 61, while Akles added a 70 and Kreie had a 72.
