Cancer center earns 3-year voluntary accreditation

Columbus Regional Health Cancer Center has received a three-year accreditation with commendation by the Commission on Cancer.

To earn the voluntary accreditation, a cancer program must meet or exceed more than 30 quality care standards set by the commission, be evaluated through an on-site survey process and maintain levels of excellence in delivering comprehensive patient-centered care.

The Columbus cancer center received six commendations, including one for excellent nursing care.
