Center's 17 points lead Crusaders to triumph

INDIANAPOLIS — Columbus Christian broke open a close game at halftime Friday night and pulled away for a 64-50 win at Indianapolis Lighthouse.

The Crusaders (13-4) led 27-26 at halftime before outscoring Lighthouse 37-24 in the second half. Columbus Christian held a 44-39 rebounding advantage.

Chris Noblitt, a center, led the Crusaders with 17 points.

Austin Straub scored 14 points, and Dalane Shaull added 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Crusaders.

Eagles fall to Braves

TRAFALGAR — Brown County was within four early in the third quarter, but Indian Creek pulled away for a 65-52 win.

The Eagles (1-8) lingered around, but they couldn’t get closer than seven points the rest of the game. They made just 10 of 31 shots in the second half.

Tony Goral and Steven Norman paced Brown County with 17 points apiece.

Saints edge Cougars

INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Lutheran pulled out a 63-60 win against Trinity Lutheran.

Craig Stuckwisch led the Cougars (3-6). Luke Stuckwisch added 14.

Owls lose again

SEYMOUR — Seymour led by three points after three quarters, but Charlestown hit back-to-back 3-pointers to spark a 10-0 run and went on to down the Owls 64-52.

Chase Salmon led Seymour (1-10) with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Zak Lucas added 10 points.
