The Columbus City Council gave second and final approval Tuesday to changes in the city’s door-to-door solicitation ordinance.
Under a change in state law, the city cannot require cable television vendors to apply for a local license.
The council also amended the ordinance to remove Sunday hours for solicitors and to limit the allowed times year-round to 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Previously the ordinance allowed for later summer hours.
