City native sets CD release party

Follow The Republic:

Singer-songwriter and Columbus native Anna Miller will host a party for the release of her pop CD, “All the While,” from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at kidscommons, 309 Washington St. in Columbus.

Lauren Knorr will open the evening at the children’s museum.

Miller is a student at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. It is known partly for its contemporary music program.

Her pop record already has won praise from musician Jim Ryser, formerly of Columbus, who encouraged her to record.

“I was blown away by this kid,” Ryser said.

Columbus residents know Miller from her appearance at the Johnson-Witkemper Biggest Block Party Ever last year, and from upcoming appearances at local restaurants such as Jordy McTaggart’s Grill and Pub and Joe Willy’s Burger Bar.

Miller will have discs available for purchase at Monday’s event.
