An infant in the Clifford area was rushed to Columbus Regional Hospital Tuesday afternoon after being bitten by a family pet.

Ten-month-old Embry Graham, the son of Linda Black of 8263 Dena St., was playing with two dogs, including a Doberman pinscher, according to Bartholomew County Deputy Sheriff Maj. Todd Noblitt. Shortly before 2 p.m., the Doberman bit the child on the head, Noblitt said.

Embry suffered wounds above the right eye and had to receive stitches in the emergency room before he was released, Noblitt said.
