Columbus East band gets fourth place in Mid-States

The Columbus East High School marching band won fourth place Saturday in the Mid-States Band Association state championship in Mason, Ohio.

The band, known as the Olympian Spirit Marching Band, competed in the Class AAA division, which is for bands with 51 to 70 members. It also won the award for “Best Uniforms.”

Anderson County High School of Lawrenceburg, Ky., won first place.
