COLUMBUS, Ind. — Columbus has come up short in its effort to receive All-America City recognition.
The National Civic League selected 10 cities for its 2014 All-America City Awards at a ceremony in Denver tonight. Columbus was among the finalists and Mayor Kristen Brown led the delegation that made a presentation to a panel of judges this weekend.
The National Civic League recognizes 10 communities each year for outstanding civic accomplishments. To win, each community must demonstrate innovation, inclusiveness, civic engagement, and cross sector collaboration that demonstrate successful efforts to address pressing local challenges.
