Columbus father, daughter improving after crash

COLUMBUS, Ind. — A father and daughter from Columbus who were among eight people injured during a Saturday afternoon crash in western Johnson County are making progress in their recovery.

William Parker, 27, was listed in good condition today afternoon at Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital, according to a hospital spokesperson said. He sustained internal injuries during the three-vehicle crash on State Road 135 in Bargersville.

Gwendolyn Parker, 5, has been discharged from the same Indianapolis medical facility and is now recuperating from her head injuries at home, the spokesperson said.

Four other members of the Parker family were treated and released from the emergency room the same day of the accident.
