Brandon Flick has been hired as the newest member of the Columbus Fire Department.
Flick, 28, grew up in Indianapolis and attended Perry Meridian High School along with Central Nine Career Center, where he took firefighter and emergency medical technician courses, according to a news release.
Work experience includes six years with the Marion County Sheriff’s Department as a jail deputy and three years of experience through the Greenwood Fire Department.
Flick’s certifications include Firefighter 1 and 2 levels, EMT, pumper/operator and aerial operations.
He was sworn in April 1 at the Board of Works meeting by Mayor Kristen Brown.
Flick and his wife, Victoria, live in Bargersville.
