A Columbus man was killed in a motorcycle accident at about 9 a.m. this morning on Interstate 65 near State Road 11, Indiana State Police said.

Kevin Burton, 49, Columbus, died after his 1994 Yamaha motorcycle struck a semi as Burton was entering the interstate northbound from State Road 11, said ISP Trooper Korry Clark.

As he came down the ramp, a northbound 2005 International semi tractor pulling a flatbed trailer loaded with wood trusses driven by Terry Brishaber, 60, of Henryville, IN was in the right lane of I-65.

As the motorcycle merged onto the interstate, it struck the drive axles of the semi ejecting Burton, Clark said. He was pronounced dead at the scene and Brishaber was uninjured.
