The menu is mouthwatering, the decorations are to die for, and the perfect party dress is hanging in your closet. Suddenly, canned Christmas tunes from the CD player just aren’t won’t cut it for this holiday bash.
So what’s a hostess to do? Call up the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic, a group of dozens of professional musicians, many of whom offer their services for parties, dinners, corporate meetings, open houses and any other gathering that can be set to music.
CIP Executive Director Margaret Powers said to call armed with your budget — cost is about $100 per musician for an hour-and-a-half to two-hour performance — plus some suggestions on your musical preference, and let them handle the rest.
“We can help you think of arrangements that suit your needs that you might not even have thought of,” Powers said.
