Police arrest two Edinburgh men on drug-related charges

Columbus Police officers arrested two Edinburgh men Tuesday night in the 11000 block of North U.S. 31.

At about 9:50 p.m. Tuesday, officers arrested Jeremy D. Streeval, 29, on two warrants for dealing in cocaine or a narcotic drug, a Level 4 felony, and possession of a schedule drug, Sgt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police spokesman said.

While at the scene, officers received information that two people were driving back to Bartholomew County with heroin that had been purchased in Indianapolis, according to Harris.

Officers located and arrested Rex D. Locke, 26, Edinburgh, on preliminary charges of possession of heroin, a Level 6 felony, and a Shelby County warrant for probation violation.

Streeval and Locke were transported to the Bartholomew County Jail.
