Columbus police searching for man in wooded area

COLUMBUS, Ind. — A domestic incident that prompted a call for police to a retail store's parking lot turned into a police chase that ended with a K-9 police dog helping apprehend a man near a Columbus golf course.

Jayson D. Ackenback, 29, 2222 10th St., Columbus, was arrested Monday afternoon on charges of:

Intimidation with a deadly weapon, a Class C felony
Criminal confinement, Class D felony
Resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, Class D felony
Resisting law enforcement by fleeing on foot, Class A misdemeanor
Driving without ever receiving a license, Class A misdemeanor
