Columbus woman surrenders after standoff with SWAT

A Columbus woman was taken to a local medical facility Wednesday night for a mental health evaluation after a standoff with police in the 3400 block of Brent Cross.

Columbus Police were called there in regards to a woman stabbing her vehicle and threatening others with a knife.

When police arrived, she began make threats to harm herself and officers.

Columbus SWAT team members and crisis negotiators were called and spoke with the woman for several hours before she left the residence without incident just after midnight.
