COLUMBUS, Ind. — The Bartholomew County Commissioners have appointed Commissioner Carl Lienhoop and County Council member Larry Fisher to a board that has been tasked with recommending a future ambulance service provider in Columbus.
A requirement that the city create the ambulance board surfaced during a City Council meeting last week. The board, which will have five voting members and also include city and ambulance appointees, will study ambulance service and recommend a course of action to the Columbus Board of Public Works and Safety, which is expected to choose an ambulance provider July 17.
