COLUMBUS, Ind. — The Columbus Community Garden is expected to grow by 28 plots, just in time for spring planting.
Jim Clouse, special projects manager for the city’s Community Development staff, said the expansion will allow the city to chip away at a waiting list that exists every year.
Right now, 108 small and large plots are available for lease on city-owned property near the airport. The additional plots are on property owned by Centra Credit Union, which has an oral agreement to let the city use the land.
