INDIANAPOLIS — Columbus Christian played its fourth straight road game in the past week Tuesday night, defeating Indiana Deaf 67-53.
After getting off to a slow start, the Crusaders (11-3) outscored the Deaf Hoosiers 21-6 in the second quarter, rolling to a 15-point win.
Austin Straub led Columbus Christian with 16 points, followed by Josh Miracle and Chris Noblitt with 13 apiece. Austin Martin had eight, while Nick Bridgewater and Dalane Shaull each added seven.
Seymour girls down BNL
BEDFORD — The Seymour girls went 1-2-3 in three of the four freestyle races and won five other individual events and all three relays, boosting them to a 125-61 victory at Bedford North Lawrence.
Leading sweeps were Sidney Stout in the 50-yard freestyle, Allison Hayes in the 100 freestyle and Mallory Stuckwisch in the 200 freestyle. Other individual winners were Alex Hawkins (100 backstroke), Alexis Anders (100 breaststroke) and Maggie Tidd (100 butterfly and 200 individual medley).
The Seymour boys lost to BNL 102-84. Winners for the Owls were Sam Montgomery (50 freestyle), Noah Bullard (100 breaststroke) and Ethan Blacklidge (100 butterfly).
