Cummins gets environmental recognition

Columbus-based Cummins Inc. has been named the No. 1 environmentally conscious industrial company in the U.S. and in the Top 150 global "green" companies by a national magazine.

Newsweek's fourth annual Green Rankings of businesses were posted on the digital magazine's website (Newsweek.com) earlier this week.

Cummins, an engine maker with $18 billion in annual sales, was ranked No. 64 among the 500 largest public companies in the United States and No. 134 globally among all companies for its environmental practices.
