Dance planned to raise awareness, money for diabetes research

COLUMBUS, Ind. — Two high school seniors have organized "Dance for Diabetes" to raise awareness among local high school students about the disease and to raise money for research.

The dance will begin at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 5 at St. Bartholomew Catholic School gym with a performance by local band Project DuBru, and a DJ and dancing will follow. Students in grades 9-12 are invited to attend.

Admission is $5 and tickets can be purchased in advance by calling 343-1710. The dance is organized by Columbus East Senior Ben Barr and North Senior Eric Perry.
