Doggie ‘Lympics training set for at Noblitt Park

The first of four free training sessions for the Sept. 13 Doggie ‘Lympics will begin at 9:45 a.m. today at Noblitt Park on 17th Street in Columbus.

Organizers will teach dogs and their owners the finer points of the event’s obstacle course until 11:30 a.m., according to organizers.

Additional training will be:

■ More obstacle course training from 9:45 to 11:30 a.m. Aug. 16.

■ Frisbee expo, 9:45 to 11:30 a.m. Aug. 23 at Noblitt Park.

■ Marathon down and water retrieval training, 9:45 to 11 a.m. Aug. 30 at Tipton Lakes Marina.

All dogs will need to bring a leash, collar, water and bowl and a training toy (Frisbee and/or a water toy).
