COLUMBUS — Dorel Juvenile Group reaffirmed its commitment to Columbus as company officials on Thursday unveiled the new Dorel Technical Center for Child Safety.
The $3.6 million initial investment included the renovation of 40,000 square feet at the State Street facility and addition of 26 jobs this year, mostly salaried positions in design, engineering and development.
The expansion will add about 100 total jobs and $21 million in investment by 2013.
Martin Schwartz, president and CEO of Dorel Industries, based in Montreal, Canada, said company leaders struggled in 2004 with a decision on whether to stay in Columbus.
