Drug investigation leads to arrest of three in North Vernon

NORTH VERNON, Ind. — Deputies from the Jennings County Sheriff’s Department investigating the dealing of a large quantity of methamphetamine and marijuana in Vernon Township arrested three individuals at 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

Officers from the sheriff’s department, Vernon Town marshal and the Indiana State Police conducted the search of the home at 205S-CR250E in North Vernon and recovered nearly two ounces of methamphetamine, a half-pound of marijuana, a large amount of cash, and numerous items used in the delivery and sale of illegal drugs, according to a press release.

Arrested were Helen J. McCammon 60, of North Vernon; James M. Hall, 45, of North Vernon; and Donald L. Smith 62, of North Vernon, the release said.
