Eagles’ offense grounded in setback to Owen Valley

BRAZIL — The Brown County boys basketball team was eliminated in the first round of the Northview Sectional on Tuesday night with a 45-34 loss to Owen Valley.

The Eagles struggled to score with just 10 points in the first half. Fortunately, their defense was playing well, and they remained in the game, down 18-10 at intermission.

However, the Eagles couldn’t cut into Owen Valley’s lead in the second half.

Matt Redmond led Brown County with nine points while Evan Rose scored seven. Will Jackson and Matt Adams each had six points for the Eagles.

Owen Valley raised its record to 15-8 while the Eagles fell to 3-15.
