LANCASTER, Pa. — An Edinburgh man faces attempted murder and conspiracy charges in Pennsylvania for allegedly convincing his girlfriend to pour boiling water on her mother’s face while she slept.

Antoine Dewayne Walker, 18, waived his preliminary hearing Tuesday in Lancaster County, Pa., Court.

Police say Alisa Ashley Loump, 23, of Ephrata, Pa., attacked Jennie Loump in July because she objected to her daughter’s relationship with Walker.

Alisa Loump allegedly told police she was on the phone with Walker at the time of the attack and convinced her to attack her mother.

Jennie Loump received second-degree burns over 70 percent of her body.

Alisa Loump also has been charged with attempted murder and conspiracy along with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment. She also waived her preliminary hearing Tuesday.

Lancaster County District Attorney Craig Stedman said that Walker and Loump will have a pretrial conference in October or November and likely will go to trial on the charges.

Walker is being held at Lancaster County Prison.
