Former U.S. Navy pilot and Brownsburg resident James Graham will be the speaker at the next meeting of the Bald Eagles, a group of military aviation history enthusiasts who meet twice a year. Participants range from 6 years old to those in their 80s.
The event begins with a greeting time at 6 p.m. June 6 at The Seasons Conference Center in Nashville. A buffet dinner will be served at 7 p.m., and the program follows at 8.
Graham’s topic will be “The Shortest Pilot in the U.S. Navy,” sharing a bit of his own story. That includes being in the cockpit of a Navy trainer and realizing that his feet did not reach the pedals.
James Sellars, president of the Atterbury-Bakalar Air Museum Volunteers, will show slides about the recent museum expansion, including new displays.
Cost is $28 per person, via cash or check, payable at the event. A cash bar also will be available. Reservations are due by June 3. Information and reservations: Floyd Crouse at 603-3535 or email@example.com.
