INDIANAPOLIS – Steve Weatherford became a YouTube sensation with his NFC Championship celebration two weeks ago after he helped send the New York Giants to the Super Bowl.
Weatherford, a Terre Haute native, punted two balls that resulted in consequential San Francisco 49ers turnovers and was the holder for Lawrence Tynes' game-winning field goal. Afterward, the 29-year-old NFL journeyman ripped off his helmet and sprinted the length of Candlestick Park, face frozen, shouting something about going to the Super Bowl.
