Fast start propels Crusaders

INDIANAPOLIS — Columbus Christian jumped out to a 14-1 lead after one quarter and went on to post a 44-29 win at Indianapolis International.

“It took us a little while to get going, and once we did, we got into our diamond press and started forcing some turnovers,” Columbus Christian coach Ron Bridgewater said. “We started hitting some shots, and we were fine.”

Macy Wingham scored 21 points and added eight rebounds and steals to lead the Crusaders (7-2). Rachel Warren had 13 points, and Tori Robinson added 10 points and 10 rebounds. Hannah Carlock recorded five assists and Kayleigh Reed collected five steals.
