Father arrested on charge of neglect and child selling

Jennings County Sheriff's Office and Indiana State Police have arrested a Lexington, Indiana man on charge of neglect of a dependent/child selling.

According to investigators, Joseph W. Gambrel, 42, agreed to sign all of his parental rights on his two children over to the children's relatives in exchange for $7,500.

Jennings County Sheriff officers and the state police took Gambrel into custody Wednesday as he was preparing to get into his vehicle with the cash.
