A huge garrison flag spanned the entrance to downtown Columbus at Second and Jackson streets as a final salute Saturday to two fallen Marines.
The remains of Manley Winkley and his nephew Lyman Winkley, who fought in some of the most ferocious battles of World War II and the Korean conflict, were escorted through the city by a formation of vehicles.
At least 100 people lines the streets of Columbus to pay their respects.
The burial ceremonies were to be conducted in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison.
