Blazing fireworks need not be the only part of the July Fourth weekend going headlong and screaming into the holiday. You can, too.
And we’re here to help.
From rockets’ red glare to the county fair, from karaoke to cotton candy, you can simultaneously celebrate patriotism and good, old-fashioned family fun.
For a sparkling sky, you’ve got two options: Columbus Regional Health Presents QMIX Musical Fireworks 25: Get Happy today, and at a separate show Friday at Ceraland Park.
Organizers of the QMIX extravaganza generally estimate a throng of 50,000 people lining areas along Columbus’ Central Avenue.
Ceraland has attracted 10,000 to 15,000 for its booming Independence Day celebration — and organizers expect the crowd to grow slightly this year since the holiday falls as part of the weekend.
