Gas leak closes State Road 9

HOPE — A gas leak prompted officials to close State Road 9 Thursday afternoon between County Road 500N and 600N.
The leak, in the vicinity of Leonard's Tire Shop, was reported at 2:08 p.m. Hope Police spokesman Joe Lange said two buildings adjacent to the business were evacuated as a precaution.
State Road 9 is expected to reopen just as soon as the leak is sealed.
