COLLEGE Goal Sunday is 2 to 4 p.m. at Jennings County High School, 800 W. Walnut St. This is the final opportunity for students to receive assistance in completing the 2013-14 Free Application for Federal Student Aid form.

The high school will have two computer labs open, Lab 105 and Lab 106, so students can submit the FAFSA information electronically.

Also, Hanover College will have representatives here to lead sessions or help students individually in the completion of the form.

The representatives of Hanover and JCHS also will be available to assist with questions and other college questions.

A $1,000 scholarship is being offered by the state of Indiana to anyone who participates in the College Goal Sunday. To enter for a chance to win the scholarship, there will be a form to fill out and the drawing will be in 30 days.

Mary Lynn Whitcomb, guidance director at JCHS, said all college-bound seniors should complete their FAFSA form.

“That form is the foundation for any type of assistance at college, so everyone needs to fill out this form. This is our third session to help out college-bound students, and it will be our final offering for any type of assistance,” she said.

FAFSA forms are due by March 10.

If you have any questions about the College Goal Sunday, call the high school guidance department at 346-5588 or stop by the high school today.

Mason Smith is a senior at Jennings County High School.
