GREENFIELD — A recent sustainability analysis recommends a consolidation of the Hancock County and Fortville Vernon-Township public libraries.
The analysis, conducted by Greg Guerretazz of Financial Solutions Group Inc., pointed to possible savings if the two entities began to operate as one.
"We believe a consolidation possibility may exist at this time," the analysis states. "...Overall services provided could be equalized across the county."
Should the two system consolidate, Fortville's library would likely be converted into a branch of HCPL, much like Sugar Creek branch in New Palestine.
