A Saturday morning stroll down a Columbus alley ended with a Hartsville man in jail and facing several felony charges.
Robert Hiatt, 19, was arrested on a preliminary felony charge of unlawful possession of a syringe and a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana after Columbus Police Department officers Troy Love and Courtney Plummer stopped the man around 9 a.m. Saturday.
Upon doing a warrant check, the officers discovered Hiatt was wanted on three Bartholomew County warrants. They took Hiatt to Bartholomew County Jail, where officers found a small tin canister with marijuana, two syringes and two small bags with a white powder substance.
Hiatt is being held at the Bartholomew County Jail.
