Hartsville names a new town marshal

Follow The Republic:

HARTSVILLE — The first female road deputy in Bartholomew County history is the new Hartsville town marshal.

Christie Sims Nunemaker has replaced Alan “A.J.” Ross, who was severely injured in a motorcycle accident.

Nunemaker spent much of her July 4 holiday weekend walking around Hartsville talking to residents.

"I want them to talk to me without any fear, and tell me what's on their minds," Nunemaker said. "I think this is going to be wonderful."
