Hope convenience store cited by excise police

Follow The Republic:

HOPE — A convenience store on the south side of Hope is one of 12 cited following a two-month investigation related to beer pricing, Indiana State Excise Police said.

In February, a complaint was filed that the parent company of the Huck's convenience stores released a flyer that included a coupon for $1 off a six-pack or larger quantity of beer.

However, Indiana law requires that alcoholic beverages be sold for the same price to all customers.
