Follow The Republic:

HOPE — A Hope man was burned over 85 to 90 percent of his body in a residential fire early this morning.

Hope Police Department and Hope Volunteer Fire Department responded to the blaze in the Circle Drive Trailer Park on Aiken Street at 12:11 a.m., said Randy Bailey, the Hope police chief.

Raymond Tindell, 50, escaped the fire by breaking out a window and only suffered minor injuries. But his brother, David Tindell, 52, had to be pulled from the fire by rescuers.

David Tindell was flown by Lifeline helicopter to the Wishard Burn Center in Indianapolis where he was listed in critical condition this morning.
