Expect another weekend of slow going on Interstate 65 near Columbus.
Crews will work on two Indiana Department of Transportation projects that require ramp and lane closures from 7 p.m. today and through noon Monday.
The southbound I-65 passing lane will be closed near the State Road 46 interchange. The southbound I-65 off ramp at State Road 46 will be closed.
Periodic lane closures will occur on the northbound I-65 lanes while crews seal the roadway.
At the same time, a partial closing of the northbound I-65 on-ramp and off-ramp at State Road 46 will occur, although the ramps won’t be closed the entire time.
A 45 mph speed limit will be enforced through the work zone.
American Contracting of Jeffersonville is the state’s contractor for this $1,439,736 pavement restoration project on I-65 between County Road 100N and Carr Hill Road, which includes ramp repairs at the State Road 46 interchange. Work includes many full-depth concrete patches and other pavement restoration measures.
INDOT has recommended motorists consider using U.S. 31 between Seymour and Taylorsville to avoid the work zone.
