Indiana Department of Transportation officials are urging motorists to drive with caution while negotiating the on- and off-ramps linking Interstate 65 and State Road 46 at Columbus.
Contracted crews will place concrete patches on alternating ramps beginning today. These repairs require partial closure of individual ramps; no ramps will be fully closed. Operations will continue through overnight hours until Friday at noon.
No I-65 lanes will be affected by the work.
American Contracting of Jeffersonville, is the state’s contractor for this $1,439,736 pavement restoration project. The company is patching concrete on I-65 between 100N and Carr Hill Road and doing ramp repairs at the State Road 46 interchange. INDOT officials expect I-65 weekend work to continue into mid-September.
