Columbus East High School, Central Middle School and St. Peter’s Lutheran School musicians competed Jan. 28 in the Indiana State School Music Association Solo & Ensemble District Contest at East.

Central Middle School

  • Gold awards, solos: Lillie Petro, Elizabeth Pevlor, Lillie Petro, Ryan Hunkele, Leyla Chudar, Nellie Niese, Alexa Streeval, Justin Thayer, Kota Benjamin, Brendan Boewe, Maelyn Kaiser and Issac Beavers.
  • Silver award, solo: Hannah Gregory.
  • Gold awards, ensemble winners: Kota Benjamin, Justin Thayer, Brayden Burbrink, Elisabeth Weddle, Brendan Boewe, Molly Dye, Vanessa Villalobos, Sam Hack, Chloe Jorgenson, Jacob Harpring, Maya Aufdermauer, Emi Hammond, Kati Jackman-Wheitner, Grant Adkins, Michael Jolly, Sam Hack, Olivia Brown, Hannah Gregory, Katherine Homer, Simon Tunny, Nick Tumey and Rebekah McCarty.

  • Silver awards, solos: Kaitllyn Milvert, Jacob Villager and Ben Walker.
  • Gold awards, ensemble winners: Paige Prowant, Serena Kelley, Lauren Champion and Amanda Sun.
  • ISSMA State solo qualifiers: Andrew Henrichson (violin and trombone) Lauren Champion.
  • ISSMA State ensemble qualifiers: Paige Prowant, Lauren Champion, Amanda Sun and Serena Kelley.

St. Peter’s Lutheran School

  • Gold awards, ensemble: Bailey Schroeder, Audrey Schultz and Paige DeNeve.
  • Gold award, solo: Paige DeNeve.
