Impaired driving patrol results in 45 traffic stops

Columbus Police Department and Indiana State Police participated in a patrol for impaired driving in Columbus on Friday night. 

There were 45 traffic stops conducted and police issued 15 citations, according to Columbus police.

Seven people were arrested, including four for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, police said.  Two persons were arrested for illegal consumption/possession of alcohol and one person was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. 

Suspected impaired driving can be reported to police by calling 812-379-1689.
