INDIANAPOLIS — Indy Honor Flight is sponsoring its second annual World War II Veterans Reunion from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Indiana World War Memorial in downtown Indianapolis.
As many as 200 World War II veterans and their spouses are expected to attend with many Honor Flight Guardians and Honor Flight volunteers.
Patriotic music will be played from 1 to 1:45 p.m. followed by swing dancing.
At 2:30 p.m., a program is planned to honor veterans in the Pershing Auditorium.
The day’s events conclude with the playing of taps at 4:30 p.m. on the American Legion Mall.
Arrangements have been made to allow guests to be dropped off at the front of the Memorial on Michigan Street, where volunteers will be available to assist guests in getting to the Memorial.
The facility is handicap accessible.
