Iron Men of Metz to be honored Friday

Veterans of the U.S. Army 95th Division — 377th Infantry Company I, known as the "Iron Men of Metz," will be be honored at 1 p.m. Friday at a ceremony naming a Columbus bridge in their honor.

The dedication ceremony will take place at the bridge running over Cliffty Creek on U.S. 31 just south of 10th St. and Taylor Road. The event is open to the public and parking is available in lots south of the bridge on either side of the highway.
