Ivy Tech Community College’s Columbus campus has rescheduled its express admissions session to occur 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday at 4475 Central Ave.
The event lets new students register via one-stop shopping, and is geared toward first-time students or those transferring from another college or university, according to an Ivy Tech media release.
Express admissions allows students who want to start attending in the spring semester handle all their registration steps in a single day rather than going through several meetings with advisers. Prospective students can come at any time during the eight-hour event Monday but should be aware it generally takes five hours to complete all the required steps, the school said in the release.
Individuals will fill out a free application, complete new student orientation, have financial aid questions answered, take the assessment for placement in classes, attend a general session, meet with an adviser and set up a registration appointment.
Individuals should bring their SAT, ACT or PSAT scores, or high school or college transcripts to learn if they qualify for an assessment waiver. For more information, call 812-374-5341.
The express admissions day had been set for Dec. 6, but it was postponed due to snow and cold weather.
Don't settle for a preview.
