A Jackson County man faces multiple fraud charges after racking up a bill on his dead grandmother's credit card, police say.
Ryan Kevin Mull, 23, Crothersville, was arrested Wednesday and booked into the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown on 17 counts of identity theft, a Class D felony; 17 counts of fraud, a Class D felony; and six counts of forgery, a Class C felony.
A June 4 report of fraud on a deceased person's credit card account triggered the investigation, Indiana State Police Trooper Randel Miller said.
The account was that of Lois Abbott, 63, Crothersville, who died in September last year. She is Mull's grandmother, according to Sgt. Noel Houze, public information officer with the state police.
