Jackson, Jennings counties partner on home detention program

VERNON, Ind. — A two-county partnership will give the Jennings County criminal justice system more options to deal with non-violent offenders has received final approval.

Jackson County's home detention program will expand to include Jennings County.

A resolution to approve the merger was approved June 4 by the Jackson County Commissioners. Jennings County officials gave the merger their blessing Monday evening.

The newly-named Jackson-Jennings Community Corrections Department is the sixth regional home detention program in Indiana.
