Jennings County Middle School’s summer running program is under way and will continue at 7 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at Muscatatuck County Park. Practice will begin at 7 p.m. July 23 at Muscatatuck.
Dawn Patrol for football will will continue from 6:30 to 8 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the high school. There will be a mini-camp from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday, and equipment will be handed out the first day of camp.
There will be an elementary and middle school football camp from 6:30 to 8 p.m. July 9 to 13 for kindergarten through Grade 9, with a cost of $30. Practice for Grades 7 and 8 will begin from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 23 at the middle school.
Volleyball practice will begin from 8 to 10 a.m. July 23 at the middle school.
Convenient Care of North Vernon is offering athletic physicals for $25 during normal operating hours. Physical forms can be picked up at the middle school and high school athletic offices. Athletes must have a physical dated April 1 or after before participating in the athletic program.
