Are you an author or do you want to be one?
Debi Hurt, author of several books and Pen It! Magazine, will host a writers group that meets the second Tuesday of every month at the Jennings County Public Library.
The group’s next meeting is 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 19. It is open to high school students and adults.
“It is a great chance for writers in our community to get together to share ideas and encourage each other in their creative efforts,” said Bette Eggleston, adult services librarian.
Learn about sewing
Would you like to learn how to mend, stitch, sew and create?
The Jennings County Public Library, in partnership with the Jennings County Purdue Extension, is offering sessions to teach sewing.
All About Sewing will meet at the Jennings County Public Library on the third Wednesday of each month.
The next meeting is 6 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 20.
These sessions are for those who are just beginning and learning how to sew. Bring your own sewing machine and supplies.
Because this is a Jennings County Purdue Extension event, a yearly fee of $10 is required.
This group will be led by Beth Steiner and Marcy Clark. Both are experienced sewers and love to share their knowledge and skills with others.
For more information: Call Beth Steiner at 346-4406.
