HOPE — The Jets picked up their first win of the season, beating Milan 18-8 behind some solid pitching by sophomore Rory Thayer, who hurled one-hit, shutout ball over the first four innings.
Hauser built a 15-0 lead before cruising to the five-inning win, which ended early due to the 10-run rule.
The Jets are now 1-2 after dropping a doubleheader to Trinity Lutheran on Saturday. Jared Compton went three for four with three RBI for Hauser while Thayer and Will Rose each went three for five with three RBI.
Don't settle for a preview.
